Sensuality / Sexuality

The sexual activity that predominates in our culture has at least two substantial limitations. (1) Our bodies hold hurts and regrets that create energetic blocks to the full flow of sensation. (2) We are end-focused with most priority given to achieving a spike climax. Once we are liberated from our personal identity and its demands, energy for sensual expansion often becomes available. First, we can bring compassionate awareness to any area of holding or constriction within our bodies. Eventually, we can regain the sensitivity of a newborn whose whole body may quiver from the touch of one of her palms or the pads of her feet. Additionally, we can fully relax and open to sensation with curiosity, allowing it to flow and build throughout our bodies. Without directing it toward the traditional spike climax, we will discover orgasmic responsiveness in many new ways. For example, I have found tingles running up and down from head to toe with orgasmic waves rippling out from my genitals.
